Shop over 70 local artists and makers, sip on delicious warm beverages and cocktails by Can Can Wonderland, visit with Santa (he arrives at 2pm each day!), ride the trackless train, and be delighted with the holiday festivities Third-generation owner Jimmy Steichen, whose grandfather started the market, stands behind the sandwich counter while setting up for the Minnesota State Fair in Falcon Heights on Aug. 10, 2022.What is now a cookie empire, producing 3 million cookies per day of the Minnesota State Fair, began humbly, with one 9x11 booth in 1979. Now, 40+ years later, you can find Sweet Martha's at Twin Cities' events, as well as our frozen cookie dough in area grocery stores, and, of course, every summer at the Minnesota State Fair.Two new holiday markets are coming to St. Paul in December. Hosted by Homespun Events, Minnesota Merry Markets will take place at the Palace Theatre the weekend of Dec. 9-10, and at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds the weekend of Dec. 16-17. The Palace Theatre market will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 10.
