With a true 35X12.50 tire you need less offset so you don't rub the skid. The absolute perfect offset for running 35s is a +35mm wheel. The problem is that there aren't many +35mm wheels available. But there are plenty of +25mm. The difference between +25mm and +35mm is less than half an inch.
